The manual wheelchair is provided to persons who are having enduring impairment for about six months and critically impairs to walk. The manual wheel chair falls under two categories namely

Attendant pushed small rear wheel and the self-propelled large rear wheels. Attendant operated wheelchairs are not appropriate for long duration of seating. The manual self-propelled large rear wheels are appropriate for those who are in residential home and in nursing.

Motorized Wheelchair

The motorized wheel chair is ideal for the clients who need wheel chair on daily basis to move in and out of the home and they are unable to operate self-propel efficiently in the home. To operate this wheel chair the customer should have sufficient space in their home. Motorized wheel chair can be operated by a joystick or by other input devices. This wheel chair accommodated 4 to 6 wheels and has the potential to hold the need of various seating requirement with turning radii which facilitates the client to move freely in their home.

Lifts for Manual Wheelchairs

Lifts can be used to ramp the wheel chair in to a platform, trunk or in a carrier. The lifts may be internal or external depends up on the user need. Lifts may be semi-automatic or automatic. The lifts for manual wheel chair falls under four categories: Platform lift, Rotary lift or swing lift, Hoist Lift and under Vehicle lift.
